This study examines contemporary diplomacy and the mechanisms of international negotiation through four main parts. The first part explores the conceptual, legal, and historical foundations of diplomacy, including its characteristics, forms, privileges, immunities, and evolution from ancient diplomacy to modern practices such as public diplomacy, cyber diplomacy, and climate diplomacy. The second part focuses on the peaceful settlement of international disputes, analyzing diplomatic methods such as negotiation, mediation, good offices, inquiry, and conciliation, as well as legal methods including arbitration and judicial settlement before the International Court of Justice and other international tribunals. The third part examines international negotiation, its concepts, types, components, stages, conditions for success, and mechanisms used in crisis situations, with particular attention to BATNA and principled negotiation. Finally, the fourth part addresses international crisis management by examining the definition, characteristics, types, and stages of crises, as well as the theoretical approaches, early-warning systems, and strategies used to manage them. Historical case studies, including the Cuban Missile Crisis, the Suez Crisis, the Gulf Crisis, the Syrian Crisis, and the Russia–Ukraine conflict, illustrate the practical application of diplomatic and negotiation mechanisms in managing international tensions, preventing escalation, and promoting international peace and security.en_US
